Been asked to do one and its green, what will I need to clean one of these? I remember reading something about it some time ago, what items will I need to buy? I have a water fed pole system but know it will take ages just using that what is the name of that chemical you apply? What's the procedure start to finish...? Cheers

The green comes off no problems with wfp. It's if it's got lichen growth on it that makes it take forever.

The chemical that most rave about on here is virosol. Lots use traffic film removed too.

Virisol or trafic film remover (TFR) is good stuff sprayed on with one of those small spayers from b n q that dazmond talks about

Cleaning on a damp/wet day like today would make it easier imo.

Start by emptying the gutters so that the water runs off and away freely.

A short ladder is what I use to get enough pressure on the brush and scrub the phinials.

Plug into the customers tap for the main scrub and then polish off with pure.

Price well as they can be a Payne Dean  :D

so what equipment will I need then if I go down the viro-sol road? a sprayer and what else?

I have step ladders, which will help get to all area of the roof, Im thinking use virosol, then rinse off with hose, if they have an outdoor tap then finish it with wfp?

Cheers

a sprayer and virisol.  Not sure about virisol dilution but it'll say on the bottle. I use a standoff on my steps to give me room to work. Spray on the virisol/tfr - count to 120 and scrub like a beast with the water from the customers tap flowing freely - get in all the nooks and crannies and rinse well. Polish off and do the windows with pure
