Nice job rhino

Must be hard to price up jobs like that.  I guess it gets easier the more you do

What courses / qualifications do you need to use a cherry picker like that - I think my driving licence covers me to drive it - not sure about the rest

Dave

Saw your franchise listing on eBay the other night - hows that going?
I saw that too, sadly there are some massive holes in that listing and very bended trust on the online statments, be interested it people are buying into it though.

I was working on a Sainsbury's store recently and they were lifting steel work over a pedestrian walkway, I was parked right underneath where they were lifting it. They told me to get out of the way.

I went apepoop - got the work stopped and they were made to change the whole lifting procedure and re jig the safe working area.

If the steels had fallen someone would have been killed.

I play by the rules and so should everyone else.

When I went into the office to report it the site manager said it is everyone's responsibility to make it safe.

The lads doing the lifting were not impressed with me but they would have been less impressed if 4 tonnes of steel had been popping out of someones skull!!!

Rob ;D

Harness points are by the floor on this machine - sorry but the guy had a waterproof jacket over his harness as it was raining - and you cannot see it properly.

Guy on balcony - walked through the building and came out through the door???????

Not got the time to video - sorry. Just thought I would put up a few pics on a rainy day for those who might be interested.

I only went to inspect the quality of work - the guy in the access machine has IPAF - PASMA - CSCS and so much more - do you have any of these?

Sorry if I have offended anyone.

Not really sure what you are implying on the massive holes - and won't discuss it on here any further.
Thanks

I am interested in these pictures as it's an avenue I have not gone down, I have cscs card, but honestly would not know where to start with the pricing of jobs like this, who knows what the future holds I normally pass work on to people that do this type of thing.

I dont mind if you email me mate design@windowwashers.co.uk and I can explian it to you, should you wish to no that is

im sorry for the following post but i just cant help myself.....

Redstar , for a man with SO MANY professional qualifications surely you would have a better understanding of marketing your business as you have no web site and a logo that advertises a mobile number!! , maybe you should spend your time and energy on improving your own setup rather than spending your time picking holes in someone who clearly has a larger and more succesful business than you. It is people like you that turns people off this forum and stops people that YOU could learn from to stop posting. >:(

on a closing note regarding running a business ive done all that got 2 years for my troubles  even thou my barrister and accountant got the figure  reduced down to 20 % of the initial amount
i had my passport held for over a year to stop me skipping the uk whilst on trial had my accounts frozen and then was taken back to court and was hit for what they deemed proceeds of crime for a figure that you probably wouldnt earn in 10 years
now im a reformed person happy washing windows / cutting grass and doing a bit of construction now and then (i am probably the best builder in the world )giving my bit to the government  living a relatively stress free life spending loads of time with the kids and her and the dog-life is good

so being successful i think ive done ok despite a set back or two

and im still right in what im saying about thoes pictures

no website and no landline correct dont need them get by without i have a gimp who knocks on doors and puts leaflets thro letterboxes-he does well for me

one more thing mr rogue trader i still have my little fat fingers in a number of pies as the court took all my money i still have to earn a living ive just looked at your website i see you work in the leatherhead / epsom area  im currently building 6 houses there i think the cost is around 6 million its a nice development
maybe you could give me a price for the cleans if you use rhinos cherry picker ensure my comments are taken on board
all i was doing was pointing out where your mate  was going wrong i was not having a pop
one more thing your profile says your female i though you were a chap that may explain a lot it could be your change kicking in or that time of the month either could be a explanation to why you are so angry

if you are a lady im sorry about my previous comment about your arse and his fist

-shall we put this one to bed now !

?????  err if the court took all your money you must have won the lottery as £6million is a fair few £15 semis! good luck with your development

you back again

i am only the builder its the developers money

i presume by all the question dodging you are not capable of putting together a sensible arguement against the issues i raised
looking at the safety section mentioned on your website i can only come to the conclusion that it was written by someone else or raped from another site  as you clearly know nothing or would agree with what i am saying
to be fair to purple rhino he has refrained from getting involved in this pointless debate as he himself probably knows the points i raised are valid and i am sure he will take my observations on board
you on the other hand probably run a small two bob company with no hope of going anywhere with your current knowledge of health and safety issues and attitude towards people who are trying to help
thats all i have to say on the topic

also i presume you wont be taking me up on my offer of cleaning the windows for me

i must borrow one of your health and safety manuals when you are in the area building your development, i may be able to grow my two bob organisation into something like yours! ;D
You may think this is a pointless argument but i got involved with you because as i have stated in previoius post that it winds me up that people like you are the reason that  knowledgable people who YOU can learn from dont post on here any more cos they get holes picked in them at every oppurtunity.  , i hope you learn from this and dont continue to drive more good people away from this forum. That is my last word on this. :-X

Just read through this thread and did make me chuckle, whenever people put things on here others are only to happy to shoot them down by nit picking. Yes you may have a point Redstar with some observations but cant you see, what youve initially put .through your writing style would get others backs up.
