Hi I'm having a couple of custys that need texting due to access ,so one I text last week the night before ,reply says cab you do next week due to cashflow,so I say ok I can do next thurs,reply was great,get a text this morning oh Friday would be better due to hubbys birthday,now I need all the cash I can get but I'm not prepared to be messed and expected to run around ,is this common in this game as it is pi..ing me right off.

i never get this anymore.just explain you have to clean to a schedule or not at all to new customers.

Simple, why not just say its ok I'm cleaning tomorrow and you can pay me next Friday when you have the money, if they say no then you know if their messing you around or not

Some of mine have a floating arrangement but we book the next date when I finish each time and they only cancel under extreme circumstances. 95% of my work is just turning up and cleaning. If they're in fine if not I leave them a bill. A couple have gates but they're usually easy enough to bypass. Don't get messed around.

We have been doing far too much texting first and have had some people put us off till next month, so from now on anyone who has tried to put us off even with access issues doesn't get a text first.
If they aren't in they can just have fronts done. Nearly all pay by BACS anyway.
If someone put me off twice in a row I would just get rid - no point wasting time on them.

If you give in to this, she will be a pain forever more.
Tell her your terms of engagement.  If she's not OK with them move on.  If you feel she will keep messing about, again, move on.  She might end up being a decent customer once you explain things to her.  Many people who mess about are unaware of the disruption they cause your scheduling.
Also, if someone uses cash flow as the reason, I either ask them to send the cheque within a couple of weeks or simply ask them for a postdated cheque to save them postage.

Once a messer ALWAYS a messer I know as I have done a few scientific experiments on messers and moaners ... Results were published on here few months back.
