skys the limit on that question Carl, I do all my own seo and have done for many years.
the cost of your seo will depend on your competition on an ongoing basis, anyone that guarentees you first page and taking out of there backsides as no people can offer this as there are only 10 spots and there are more than 10 people doing seo in any given industry.
to put in the things that you need to is quite simple a bit of research and tweating you could well sit pretty for a low cost although must seo compnaies will not tell you this, I tend to love the calls a get from them weekly, I ask them questions then trip them up for fun (sad I know, but fun all the same
)
