I've stopped putting stamps on envelopes, trying to get them all to pay online as I don't collect (except for 2 ole gits) no one complains and saves me a few dollars  ;)

I never leave pre paid envelopes. If people want to send cheques through the post, that is their choice.

I think what she is trying to say is if you charge 10 quid for the window clean or even less you will be paying 5% of your price for the stamp. So don`t prepay just give a S A E .

lol when you qoute a house say a 15 pound house start making the 15.50 or or 16 to cover the stamp cost, however with new houses never mention a stamp, i stopped putting stamps on about 2 months ago, to be honest i havent really noticed much difference in cash flow

My envelopes don't cost that much ( brown type ) about a quid for 50! a local print firm do my address labels for 3quid for about 6 or 7 sheets and i realised the other day I can quite easily peel off the second class stamp and re use with pritt stick I'm goin to do this in future just waitin to get some more back through post then gna giv it a go this way It costs very little.

Please define "it" in "stopped doing it".
You stopped leaving stamped addressed envelopes?
You stopped cleaning for "clever git"?
Something else?

I did leave stamped addressed envelopes for slow payers at first and found that it didn't encourage them to pay.  So I no longer left envelopes.  I just leave a bill.  No stamp.  No envelope.

i always leave a second class stamp and a sticky label on the front with name and address and a pic of a squeegee on it!! ;) ;D ;D ;D

its only around 40 customers a month that i leave SAE for and they are good paying jobs so not arsed about the extra cost to be honest!!

i have bought a few hundred  before they go up.ive put lots of customers prices up as well to cover extra costs.
price higher/work harder!

I agree for the cost involved I don't think it's that bad it saves my time and petrol. I'm adding 50p onto all jobs I gt to cover it in future. don't think il b reusing stamps though just goin out now rain eased off hada payment come through door with stamp marked through by post office I thought they done this but the last two didn't have it on and could easily reuse oh well lol!!
