Always had a fairly good word to say about.....

BRODEX.

Got a couple of poles from them, good price and do the job (18ft). Owned the 18ft alloy one for just over a year and its not seen much use.

I had a split in the hose so i contacted customer services, explained to them my problem and that it is not due to wear and tear because the pole is hardly used (1 day a week for the last 7 months).

The guy insists its wear and tear and i try telling no its not, it is cheap quality. Got nowhere and left it like that.

I NOW HAVE ANOTHER SPLIT IN THE HOSE THIS MORNING.

Cheap quality goods and cheap customer service. Not a chance will Brodex get any money from me again.

from there view, you could have been dragging it around corners, against brick work, banging the pole down on it.

i had a broken clamp, which they sent out a hole set of 4, plus the epoxy next day.
they offered to pay for it to be sent it and all the clamps changed by them.

That's what they said but it hasn't been dragged around, kinked or misused. They simply wouldn't entertain it, I even sent a section that split and pics showing the condition of the pole(as new)

I'm not a brodex fan in fact thought I may have banned in the past with some of my topics but after 7 months I don't think anyone would replace a pole hose fair enough hardly used but they only have customers word on that not calling u a liar but anyone could claim low usage my advice would be to replace with Pure Freedom polehose as I do this from Day 1 with my Gardiners hose .... I have some Gardiners hose u can have for free if u pay postage and packaging.

I know of the time thats passed and its only my word of its usage, just disappointed of the quality and customer service, they didnt even try to help me. Im over it, lol.

I was just going to swap the hose with some of my 100m reel, would this be ok? Or do you just think i should kindly take your offer?

Pole hose split and intend to replace with reel hose. You think this will be ok?

go to homebase , they do clear pvc hose , pricey at 1.50 a metre , but it beats cutting up your hose reel .
