in august last year pump problems started ,leaking from the base area,took it back to Ashbys 3 times to dartford,
after little use problem returns after new pump head,then I take it to sittingboure,derek fixes it in november,
its gone again now,its back at dartford, what the hell is going on with this pump,I dont use any powder that was Dereks advice used only running chems,any ideas anyone what is going on with the 400psi pump,anyone else
had the same problems sad thing is we are not busy so it dont get that much use

Although everybody raves about pressure a few years back I asked another manufacturer why they did not fit 400psi pumps to their range the reply was they are reliable.

Said supplier now has high output pumps but it makes you wonder

repeat and more money for them, they are not having when they work its great,but not reliable

Maybe it's the lack of use that causes the problem? When you finish are you flushing the pump clear with cold clean water, seals etc might be drying out with any residue left in the pump.

I have a back up machine which seldom gets used but once a week I just run a bucket full through the pump and run the vacs for 5 minutes. Not much of a back up if it stands for a year then fails when needed.

Don’t put any chemical in your tanks, use just water, have the temperature gage set up to just under 60 degrees,  DON’T EVER TAKE IT TO ASHBYS FOR REPAIR, THEY ARE THE BIGEST RIP OFF .  And yes I have heard that most of the new 400 P.S.I from Ashbys are cheap Chinese made. I am not sure if that’s true or not, but most likely your pump head usually go, and you can always buy the from WORLD OF CLEAN. (Nick) he is very helpful, just give them a ring

yes Tony you are correct,this is the 2nd pump head,I spoke to Derek today,he dont know whats going on,I told
him go on cleanitup and he will see others have the same problem,I told him they are not reliable,I cant keep on
bring it back when he cant solve his own machines! he says he does not make the pump but only the machine,
I said to him today, surely your machines are not that temprementel! hard water chems can cause it,not after 12 uses since repair! I told him I am not having cop out excuses as always,well see what happens now ,its still with them

They are UK agents for Pumptec - they are massively cheaper than Ashby's and others for exactly the same product and Graham will actually take the time to explain clearly what your problems could be and the best way around them. He knows his stuff on these pumps (the different motors and heads) and you can be assured of good back up which is what we all need.

yep! here we go again! ashbys say its the seals in the pump after just 12 hours use! I said fix it its the last time
you see me back here with your machine you cant even fix! Derek comes up with bull S**** I told him that all he has is excuses for his machines , my advice to any one do not buy from ashbys what so ever! I have now lost all faith
In Derek Ashby,I have known these people for many years which apparantly counts for jack,they are just money crabing cons thats it, and Dereks answer to my problems!!! wait for it! we dont make the pumps!

but we can charge you for them when they go wrong,    er which is whenever nice work if you can get it!

so if you have any sense just avoid these people,I am going to the trading standerds to see what I can do, :

as from today handed this over to trading standerds! service of goods act , dont see why Ashby should get away
with a pump they cant fix since last August! and still I have to pay for it! money grabbing thats all they are! stay away from these plz they know they have a problem just wont admit it! I told them today,but they want you to pay for there problems!

Hi shaun I did but the fact is there were 65 miles away from me,I had to go back there 6 times knocking up 800 miles,for repairs in warrenty some covered  then when you take it in they say this is not covered,all in all I have yet to find a reliable carpet cleaning machine! Ashbys being top of the bad list for back up,what ever goes wrong its always your fault your hard water your chems,but they will charge you, I told them look you have problems with your pump,they cant fix there own machine,it goes wrong after a couple of months,

when you buy any machine just make sure what it is coverd for,there all smiles when there taking your money
as I have found out!just waitng now to get it back from them now,

any one know of any machine that actually works when you want it too!its almost what shall I buy next! I know what not to buy! running out of machines starting to think there all crap! just sick of buying one machine after another! perfect heat machines are good! when there working,the back up is very good I must say,but do you want to keep going back with problems
,thats not my idea of a good machine after all there not cheap! so what next! no bloody idea!

last night I spoke to an old friend not spoke to him for 4years plus,conversation went,ya I got a new ninja 400 psi 18 months ago,first time I used it it leaked,since then its not used still like new,they use prochem,so now there going to try out the ninja,they were shocked to here about mine! so the problems are so not solved, funny that
