Window cleaning is going well, powerwashing very slow at the moment.
Drain unblocking averaging 3 to 4 a day, just did one tonight.
I was supposed to have done another at an Indian restaurant, but when i arrived the impatient B*******, had called somebody else in.
But thats life, you can never estimate how much time a blockage is going to take.

Work for me is slow but this is welcome as I am kiting out and wracking the van.

clifford,

this is what working for yourself and running your own business is all about.  you decide when and how much work you either need to do or want to do.

we are just really taking advantage of the market, and promoting whenever and whereever we can.

It looks as though January will be a record month for us, but we will wait and see.

I charge £45 call out charge and £45 per half hour there in, but I use a bit of discretion.
But if they they need a camera survey I call someone in.
But if a collapsed drain is the problem then we are talking money.

Cheers gary. I prefer the Idea of call out plus labour at half hourly rate and this is how i charge pest control, however all the competion use fixed prices for drains.

Up here the norm is £95 plus £45 ish per half hour.
Hi Clifford I dont think that I could fit one in the van as I have 3 washers, one water bowser various hoses, drain hoses lances brushes, wfp trolley and water fed poles.
I either need a bigger van, a second van or a unit.

Been busy over December fully booked until mid-January. 3 weekly fleet washes until April then they go to Monthly, need to uprate my gear as using Karcher 551 or 5 something or other, need a holiday 8) oh the bliss of self employment never been in the holiday mode yet, considering employing someone to help but nobody want's to work the hours I require i.e 24/7 call out. But never been happier since leaving the forces.

Its amazing how many cleaners, powerwashers, window cleaners are ex forces.
Looks like we were all primed for this type of work, long hours, attention to detail, cleaning everything and exchanged our gatts for a lance, hoover, or wfp.
You cant beat being your own boss, I love it.
My mates take mick a bit and call me one job.
Because I stand on the front door step every morning at 7 am and wave them off to work, I always shout, go on make someone rich.
They always reply at least I get paid every week.
Then I reply your wage is one job.
Hence the name.
