100m of thermobore

warning cone(lost the other one!)

2 battery chargers

new sill brush(left one on my van roof!)and brush scrapers, spare connectors

25kg of resin

new gloves and liners

all this year.(about £300)not too bad!

then theres van insurance just renewed, fuel tank drained cos i put £25 of petrol in my diesel van!12 months van tax,MOT and repairs etc.

there is always something to buy to upgrade, replace or have as a spare.luckily for me ive upped a lot of prices, charge more for new work and get more worked cleaned in a day than ladders only so even with the extra expense over the course of a year im still quids in compared to trad only!! ;D ;D ;D

connectors. scrim .(cause i v lost 3 in the 6 months) inline tds meter. new pre fiters. resin . 22ft clx.gardiner brushes automatic water softener. squeegys.trad poles. scraper. john guest fittings  .hose pipe .water meter. 2inch hose for transfering to van. and more . the reason being is ive set up in the garage where i had it in the van before. so its a one time purchase for lots of it and i wanted it to be right, there is still more i want to get to make it complete.

ok

1. I dont propose to do anything traditional...... is this possible?... i dont plan on using ladders for anything is this possible too?

2. WFP set up all the way i'm planning so at the mo i have a 24ft pole and brush....i know depending on properties and work i will prob need a larger option pole..but what about brush options

3. Will one brush clean all ? ( sills frames & windows) or do you have to keep changing over?

4. Re connie roofs gutters facias etc.. can these all be cleaned with pure water or do you need a chemical spray / solution to break down dirt then rinse with the pure??... therefore could se the need for another brush as i take using a one for scrubbing in chems would be a NO NO to use that on windows too

thanks

I've gained a lot of work off of other window cleaners over the years because they won't / can't do insides trad.

1, yes,
2 I would go for a 27' Clx
3, one brush can do all
4, you dont need chemical to clean a con roof, although it can make life a whole lot easier on some job, you can use the same brush for everything, to get chemicals if you choose to use them, I would recommend you get a hand pump sprayer a harris pole and some tubing (no need for ladders then.

5, I would have a small ladder for gates, should you need it, small enough to fit inside van.

yup u do find u need to keep buying odds and ends.

Just spent £56 @ Gardiners

carbon filter
end caps
clamps
clamp levers
barrell nuts
tap bodies
pole hose connectors

and a few other minor things

Apart from carbon filter and one pole clamp (helper over extended pole last week and cracked the clamp) the little items will go into my spares box which I keep on the van and will probaly last for 6 to 12 months but better to have a stock to hand plus free postage from gardiners if over a certain value.

Not a massive expense prob a little more than a few scrims and squeege rubbers but not a massive amount more.

Yup,always an going cost :£250 yesterday with Gardiners ,Fuel is the biggest (in excess £550 per month) and little sundry items that just aren't built for longevity -clamps ,connectors, brush heads -the list goes on, but hey running your own business ,it's all part and parcel :D
we succeed because others can't or won't
