hozelock reel......spring loaded

as any one taken a hozelock reel,the type that self reels and took it apart and fitted micro bore?

It wouldn't work, the microbore is usually longer than standard hozelock lengths.

Even though it would fit on the reel it would overwind the spring.

i was thinking,in my part drunken state,if i removed the hozelock and replaced with say 60mts of micro bore it might work but unless someone as done it i dont fancy being the first ;D

there are some good youtube vids that show how to rewind your hose with a cordless drill
maybe thats the answer

a 60m hozelock reel easily fits 100m 6mm microbore we tried it with an old one laying about worked wonders for a whole 3 weeks it broke.

hozelock is great for home use but in and out of the van for commercial use it isnt up to the job
