No matter what you think of this, the will get a huge volume of work............Why ?.........
because they are making themselves known, even without the low prices, this leaflet would pull in work.

On the bright side.

Their leaflet will stimulate interest in many of your clients, so, WHAT YOU GONNA DO ?

That's right, get your letter, or whatever you use to remind your clients, that  ' it's been a while '
or whatever.

Ignore at your peril

beats me why you are all panicking. i havent been in the game long but my imoression is that most peole have had or known about bad experience with c/cs. talk of tide marks and shrinkage due to the splash and dash from years back. people feel safer not cleaning the carpet. its up to us to convince them that there are professionals in the game who care about customer satisfaction and do the job right at a fair price. not easy but what is!? if you have a client base why on earth would they leave!!? if you are doing a good job with a fair price then i would not worry . also if you do get people ringing saying they have found someone cheaper then match the price if only for that time. have confidence in what you do and who you are

Your assertion that splash and dash, is something from the past couldn't be further from the truth. There are more of these people out there today, than ever and they are frequently charging high prices, with smart advertising and attractive vans.

Calling yourself a professional, is no guarantee that you will deliver the service that a competent , concientious and skilled operator will.

I've been in this business for 20 odd years and regularly find the aftermath of bad cleaning practice, which is often caused by people with good equipment..........

With experience, knowledge and application a good cleaner can clean a suite with a little Karcher and even achieve excellent drying times. Wouldn't recommend it, but I've done it, when machines have been out of use, or when I've committed to a client in a flat...

Why would they be frauds?

Home clean used to run a local newspaper ad asking people if they wanted to run a carpet cleaning business and earn ***** per week.
Arranged a meeting at a local hotel and signed up all the hopefulls. Had a bloke came to see me who had fell for it. He wanted to know if I would be interested in buying his machine. It was worth about 400 quid second hand and he had paid nearly 4 grand for it in weekly instalments. He was telling me they would book, say a lounge in for 11.00 in Morpeth and then a suite in Sunderland at 12.15. This is a distance of about 30-40 miles and you have to get through the congestion on Tyneside.
After I kindly refused the chance to purchase the machine he told me if he or the wife ever seen this guy again they would wring his neck.
