i was thinking of getting one as my next van.the mechanic where i take my van said their rubbish and costly for flywheel and clutch though.lots on here say they are good vans so i might take his comments with a pinch of salt!!

plenty of space in the back and most of them are nearly 800kg payload and cheap to buy so it is an option.i might just save a little bit more and buy a connect though.
price higher/work harder!

I have an '07 1.3td, best van I've had. Honestly cant praise this van enough!

The maxi (1000kg) is the newest version. If it helps convince you, Vauxhall's all new, just released Combo is in fact a fiat doblo with a Vauxhall badge on it! ;)

We have the new Doblo Maxi, 1000kg payload, you get twin side doors, nearly 2 years old, it was one of the first ones on the road, done 30k miles, no problems, only fan switch went, decent mpg, not fantastic on motorways for mpg, but do have a 150kg ionics tank fitted. Very happy with Fiat, had 7 fiats vehicles in last 8 years, just bought a Vivario sportive, another nice van, and not much more money.
Very nice to drive as a car derived van, nice lumbar support, one of the best i have had in a van, low back doors, easy for getting hose reals in & out, and nice thin latex/rubber mat fitted, we did not bother with protectacote. Sound system ok, we fitted a base bin, and parrot phone system

Just bought it today so not got it yet,I have a transit with 650litre system,so at the moment the plan is to fill 25l containers from the transit to use in the doblo,it has a 1000kg payload so would comfortably take a 500 litre tank, would at a push take a 650 tank but I wouldn't want to put that size of tank in a smallish van.

Only negative I have herd about them is they scrub front tyres quickly. Do not know if this still holds true for the new model.

Yes still scrub tyres quickly, did by my sons driving, but if driven fair and not like a rally car, not too bad.
We have had 3 sets in under 2 years, on Berlingo, Michelin lasted 5 years

thats correct however i find that with the weight of the water in the back its less of a problem, ive had continentals on for a year now, what i did is have all 4 tyres to a pressure of 38
