As above; when you're out canvassing do you knock every house, even if the windows are spotless and it would seem obvious that they have a window cleaner??

I only ask as I find it very hard to convince myself to knock the clean houses on the odd occasion I'm out knocking.

i do yes.  some times it means they clean their own and are very pernickety. getting someone who cleans frames etc can be a godsend for them.

it's not like every house you knock with minging windows wants a WC is it.

i know when i;m out knocking, and it's not going well, i;ll start to think...  there so clean they have a WC, then its...  theyre too dirty they wont want one etc etc

But in answer to original post, I always knock every single door.... But I tend to find the dirtier the house the less likely they are to say yes....

I've got a few jobs where the windows were very clean but the hubby was sick of cleaning 'em so took me on - knock every door as you won't know until you do.

Makes me laff when you knock and they say they have a window cleaner when they obviously dont cuz windows are minging.
I ask them lots of questions like how often are they done.
Do they do frames and sills
How much they charge
And i try to not laff while they answer.

I do yes because the conversion rate is so much better if you get to speak to the people.
I had the dentist today so went canvassing prior to the appointment, picked up three nice jobs at the right money.
After having a wisdom tooth out I did another site but stuck to just posting leaflets as my mouth was out of action!
Sad really, should just have gone home and rested.

Yup,every house gets a call wether its good,bad or indifferent
If no one home-leaflet in the box
But we do driveway cleaning too, so even if they got a cleaner , we might get a jet washing job out of it
You never know unless you knock (our other company motto!!)
