nah i think they are just on a big cold calling campaign

i really wonder if it works sometimes cos i did get a very good job out of a free listing a year ago 3 flats one pays for them all £40. easy job too.

I've found yell.com to be a complete waste of time in the past, but that wasn't running a window cleaning business so it might be different for window cleaning.  However, think about how you look for things - do you go to Yell.com or do you just go to google?  I know what my answer is, and suspect for most people it is just a case of googling it.  In that case I would advise spending the money on SEO instead

Totally agree if you have your own website. It's a bit like owning your own car but never using it, hiring one instead every month.

could look at it like this also: it is like owning your own sign written van then having another 1 sign written that you rent more chance of more work with 2  ;)

Although yell is no where near as good as it used to be

I personaly think they are a waste of time.if you have a good website thats on page 1 fine thats all you need.spend money on sign written van if you already have that advertise in paper or canvess.
All the people ringing you want 1 thing YOUR MONEY just get rid of them they are a complete waste of time.

I fell for the sales patter a few years ago, the salesman was a real pro asking me at one stage  . . .  " before we sign you up, I need to know you will be able to cope with the massive amount of calls "

Total waste of money with no enquiries, the sales staff are outright unashamed liars !

The size of book says it all for me  ::)
