Yep, I got a draw full of anti inflamatory stuff and painkillers.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Full-Catastrophe-Living-mindfulness-meditation/dp/0749915854/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1331487547&sr=1-2

This book has a very clever way showing how pain works, and how to deal with it and still function properly.

Thanks, I purchased the book.  It's always good to prepare for tough times when the going is good.

The book was cheaper here:

Mindfulness is pretty much mainstream stuff these days; it's got it roots in Buddhism, but it's normally taught as MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) in psychiatry.  One of my customers with MS has had lessons in it with the NHS.

ho yes i have hip pains and knee pains been on painkillers 2years now and they are strong ones don't take al the pain away but do keep me going

Knee problems a lot of the time are down to tight hip flexors and hamstrings.

I have just emailed a Pilates instructor, i think all us windies on the wrong side of thirty would benefit from Pilates or Yoga classes.

Long term pain killers are no good for the liver.

My mate Tony was a mechanic and a bloody good one. Today he is crippled with back pain. Virtually everyone he worked with is the same. Industrial injury is real  and takes its toll.
Get as much help as you can before it gets too bad.

:'(   just wondering if anyone suffers from hip pain. starting to limp now.
it might be wear and tear after 25 years on ladders.
started wfp to late i suppose.
sorry i know its not a medical forum just dont want to suffer alone lol.

How are you working? Do you use a trolley by any chance?
I had a raised hip for about 16 months due to lifting trolley in and out of the van.
I went back to van mount and felt almost better within a week.
I suffered most when i was sitting down. When i was working i felt the pain less.

For achy joints try this stuff its amazing!
Takes a month or so to build up in your joints but well worth it. And natural and cheap! less than £11 for a years supply, really good for arthritis too.

We're all going to turn into worm food shortly, mate, so it's pointless worrying too much about it.  ;D
