Need a canvasser in SE Kent (Dover/Deal area)
« on: February 19, 2012, 06:02:40 pm »
Hi all,

Just as it says in the title -

I need a canvasser in the SE Kent area, Deal/Dover/Sandwich (the corner really). Im looking to pay on a comission basis - it looks like the first 2 cleans plus expenses is the going rate with payment after both cleans. It is a completely new round so area is really going to be up to the canvasser (residential 99% though). Im looking for a max round of 200 houses, so anything you feel confident up to that number would be absolutely fantastic

So if someone could email me on david.lingard@sky.com it would be most appreciated!

Many thanks,

David

I reckon this is a canvasser planting a ploy...1st post asking this hmmmmm there's a rat smell about...

I don't know why anyone would assume that - I genuinely need a canvasser. I have outlined the terms as an example, i'm sure each canvasser will do their own thing!

But on a serious note I have had no replies, does anyone know of any canvassing companies that I should approach?

thanks,

David

Hi,

I know everyone keeps telling me to do it myself, but I just can't bring myself to do it! I put it off, make excuses etc so I figure id get it done for me... How do you find working in the area? I don't want to step on others' toes! i wont be undercutting or stealing customers or anything like that but would you reccomend any areas to stay away from?

thanks,

David

I have found the organic customer that come to you from leaflets, web or word of mouth are far better than those that you have knocked for  :)

agreed Erith, but takes a lot of advertising to be successfull in this way and when starting up on a budget for a compact round imo you cant beat a bit of canvassing

OK,

Since posting this I have 2 local part time canvassers moving through Dover and Deal. I have not picked up 1 single house - I don't know if the canvassers aren't working (i suspect not) at all and as they are working on a commission basis they aren't doing themselves any favours!

I SERIOUSLY need a canvasser in this area - one who can actually canvass when they say they will, and has the ability to actually pick up work.

Thanks guys

David
