« on: February 25, 2012, 07:49:33 pm »
started wfp last week and thought it was going great until strong sunlight hit the windows on friday[s n doesnt come out here much] and i noticed little white lines when the windows dried. thought i was rinsing enough . using fan jets gardiner pole and pure freedom trolley. any ideas? most of the windows seemed to be fine but one particular set were awfull. some others had some lines also.

Normally takes between 3-6 cleans, but once sorted, the difference is immense.

it can take a couple of cleans. but if u scrub and rinse rinse rinse enough they should come good first time.

don't be put off, with warmer weather it's drying quicker so easier to spot marks.

all the best with transition.

It's more than likely dripping from the top frames or seals.are the frames old pvc?they will b oxidised if you wet your finger and rub the frame resulting in white fingers!if they are then avoid cleaning the top frame in future.

By far the worst drips or lines of spotting are a result of perished or badly fitted rubber seals.the water gets trapped underneath the seal when wfpoling then run down spotting the glass when it dries.nightmare.

I rinse about a half inch from the top seal on problem windows.no problems then!

price higher/work harder!

Just check the frames aren't milky. The first lesson, and the most important,  you have to learn when WFP is about milky frames.
