Should I charge danger money??
« on: February 17, 2012, 10:02:13 pm »
New job today, soffits gutters and some walls.

Working from one end of the house while my mate started the other end. We got half way  round, and heard a couple of pellets come flying in. When the third one came past I thought I should check it out. Headed round the corner and came face to face with my buddy who was coming to see me for the same reason. We were three feet apart and a ricochet made us both duck.

Two more came in before I got on the blower for the plod. We still weren't sure if we were the targets, so my buddy (fingers of steel, x squaddie) did the whole Tom Clancy sneak about thing. He scared the crap out of some spotty 13yr old who had been shooting in his garden.

5/0 turned up ten minutes later and took the gun away.

I reckon it is going to be really crappy in their house tonight.

if it is dirty it is fair game

He's lucky the old bill didn't have to call an Ambulance and proctologist  to find the air rifle.  I would have probably inserted it fairly deeply.  As a shooter myself I don't take kindly to it and twats like that need locking up.  Just a shame it goes down as a firearms incident as the press do love to quote the figures.

Where about's in the country are you?  I'm on a number of shooting forums and I'm sure they would like to know the details.

They were due to start cleaning on the 17 Jan. Still nothing yet, the manager is looking out for the bill. I will have it back before long.

VSP:

My van was where the car is parked, we were on the house with the porthole, matey was across the street and below. I shoot a bit as well, but I have access to loads of fields round and about, so don't need to take pot shots at windies.

It was a bit of a worry, especially before we realised that it probably wasn't deliberate.

Well I hope the little twonk get's properly pinched for it, at 13 I'm not even sure he's allowed to have a rifle.  Winds me up when the old bill just caution these fools.

Glad you guys are both ok, and I hope your pal scared the skin off him  ;D

If only we all had fields that we could walk with a shotty  :(  I have to travel miles away for a romp and a shoot.
