l5 fixed again advice please
« on: February 07, 2012, 04:49:56 pm »
have got the l5 out of the shed i thouht i had cracked a pipe last year, but luckily it must of just been a fitting cos i got it firing up ok today. Now the temps are getting down to -7 here tonight and may well only rise to zero tomorrow so what sort of temp do you think i should have the water? would 20 degrees be too high? dont want to crack anything, saying that the damned thing prob wont work tomorrow its as temperemental as Dave W's system. I have also got my old reel with minibore on out of the shed as I dont want a string of microbore sausages! As I say I have not got that much experience with it even though ive had it over 2 years now as its so damned unreliable. any advice appreciated.

Don't let it freeze tonight,do you heat van at night ?
I just have it above min temp and min water flow settings.
Just so that the pipes don't freeze.

Weather has been pretty good, just touching freezing tonight.day temps are not as bad as last yr.

Even though the heater has the drain plug taken out I find it can still
Hold a small amount of water and freeze.this has happened to me before.
So either keep van warm or make sure its empty.
