People tend to forget that one little part of the reason that this country is in a mess is because of tax dodgers and benefit frauds.

Really? I'd doubt it. I personally think if you want to shop someone to your advantage then just do it because its better for you, not try to justify that you're saving or helping the country out !!

The only difference is that within the last 12 months I've probably collected 40k+ in vat, a fair few k on paye and been raped on my tax.

Is your accountant up to the job of looking after your business. Hope this comes across in the friendly way that it's meant, your business is way bigger than mine by the way, but could your accountant/s be doing a better job of saving you money?

Also if this guy is painting your previous customers wall it dosen't sound as though he'll be a real threat to your multi van set up any time soon

Just a small fact. The new laws are, you must register at the time of opening your business. There is no 3 months grace to register even if you only earn 5 quid a year.

I stand corrected from my post then.  I wasn't aware that the rule had changed on this matter.

Dean,

How long has this other guy been in this game? As you know him, what do you believe his chances of being in 'business' for long are, whether you shop him or not?

Shop him, zero tolerence, report him to the benefits hotline, HMRC  and every one else you can think of. I would in fact I DO!

And I enjoy it in much the same way as you might enjoy killing a rat. Scum is scum, this is not just a victimless crime.
