Thanks Skypole for the thought.

I'm hoping for a properous new year to pay for the Christmas.

Why oh why is it that every year I lay down rules about how much we are going to spend and I keep to it but no one else in this house does?

Now, because the lady has spent £100 odd quid on me I can't just give her the paper back book she wanted even though we agreed £10 or under for each other?

I hate Christmas. I feel that all the benifits of the last 3 weeks slog and the extra cash have gone into the giant eating machine called commercialism instead of going towards something worthwhile.
