a custy who lives in a mobile home asked me to clean the whole of her mobile home . because she has her windows done every 2 weeks and is a valued customer who always pays on the day i said id do it for a 1 off clean at a rock bottom price of 12 quid. thinking it would be a nice gesture a bit of a thank you for effectively giving me the business on her park which she runs and i do a few on there. however she loved the result and now wants a regular monthly clean of the mobile home. it took me an hour and half and a lot of water. i explained i coudnt do it for 12 quid  every month purely because the amount of water i use . any ideas guys what i should charge bearing in mind what the situation is . if i said 40 quid from the start i dont think i would have this problem .  it doesn't pay to do favours  but it did look good once done.

You are either going to give her your proper price, or you could say that as a thank you it would be cleaned once a year at £12 as a goodwill gesture.
In any event, you will get much quicker.

Rule of thumb in Business: if you are going to do a discounted job in business always tell them what you are going to do,what its worth to them and why you are doing it and its only for them. It will make them feel special. So they know how generous you have been. Anything you give for nothing  is worth nothing. When you enlighten them it has value.The deed has not value the words do.

i clean a house,reception area and a mobile home on a caravan site and it takes me an hour for all 3.

£15 for the house

£7-50 reception area

£7-50 for the mobile home.

this is for windows only.if they asked for cleaning the whole mobile home and it was really dirty then £60.

is she wants it done every month then id say £20.shouldnt take you longer than 30 mins.then the price of the windows.

you made a mistake.never ever price cheap for fascia work!!

Good on you for helping her out.just explain what you told us and everything will be fine,i cleaned 1 the other day and charged £35 for it but does depend how dirty it was and where u live i guess.

£12 for cleaning the windows on a mobile home is fine, there's generally only about 7 of them, if you're cleaning the whole caravan then £12 is a ridiculous price, we clean them for a caravan park every week and even with bulk discount we still charge £25.

Also forget doing it using wfp, get some traffic film remover in a bucket and wash the whole caravan off with that using a long car wash brush, then plump into the mains water supply and hose the whole lot off, scrim the windows.  30 mins max

at least i told her that i threw her a cheapie. also told her that i would have to charge proper next time. im thinking about 30 . id be happy with that cause next time it would take me about 30 mins to 40 mins tops i'm gonna be careful in future about offering cheapies for regulars

Good advice. I've made this mistake many a time on first cleans.

You go the extra mile and do a few extra bits and pieces not included in the quote wanting to make a good first impression and instead you set a precedent that comes back and bites you in the 'other word for donkey' - so that when you don't do it they tell you you missed it!
