Yes there's a lot for sale, but are they being bought?

I think a lot of people have jumped on the window cleaning band wagon after being made redundant, forked out on vehicles, wfp, etc, etc and then realised they can't get enough work to keep them going.

I've just pulled this off the website, he's only got £400 worth of work, that's not a viable round, it's not much more than a days work.

i think some people buy rounds and then realise it to much like hard work. With no boss its to easy to be lazy and thus suffer with earnings. someone who`s not fully motivated will not make it pay.

I just sold some rounds off in December cos too much work and now got enough local to me - the rounds I sold were not local - lad who bought em not got enough work but when he does have enough local to him he may see them and so the merry go round continues.

As someone posted already u gotta work hard and not sit on backside cos no one gonna do it for you.

As economy picks up u will see more and more work for sale as some windies will go back to "proper" jobs but more fool them however be even more work for us hardcore windies.

I have been told that some of these window cleaners are making so much money, that they sell up and retire in the sun.

Not sure if its true, but thats what they are saying

Sean 2/3 times is norm for poor priced work, I think some get a little confused by this and think a little round that they dont want to clean due to it not earning enough is worth 4/5/6/7 times.

there is a massive difference from a window cleaning business and a window cleaning round and the price for the work is very different.

seems rather over priced from what i can see..... 13k for 1k monthly work?! I'll stick with canvassing!

perhaps some rounds so small as they are just cutting back a little...... or like Roy Harding, past it and half way down path to retirement!  ;D

Could be a lot of work for sale as recession is teasingly, possibly, around the corner with people worried about their jobs and windies fearing losing custies that havent been on their books long enough to class as secure work.

I would not be prepared to pay extortionate prices for new work in these economic times, but would be prepared to wait until UKGDP picks up signifcantly as rounds would sell for lower prices as interest wouldnt be there and would be less risk of losing work.

Half the work advertised is no more than a few days worth of work and certainly not enough to make it worthwhile.
