I have had a couple of houses where they have put their coat on and stood outside to watch over my shoulder. Do an Indian family where the old grandad used to do it until he obviously decided I could be trusted.
Or maybe Vince he was looking at what you do, thinking how easily it looks, and if he gets one of those pole thingies, he could clean them himself and save on the window cleaning.
One of the local fellow window cleaners (WFP) cleans a house. She came across and watched me clean some windows a while back and then commented that the reason why her windows weren't as clean as mine is because I rinse afterward.
As I know her we started to talk, so I said that I didn't understand what she meant by her comment.
She had seen how easy is was to clean the windows and had bought a pole with a brush that you attach the hose pipe to, but the windows would dry off all full of spots. So she was going to rinse after she cleaned the windows, convinced that that was the reason why she had so many spots.
All I said was "Oh OK" and left it at that. Some things are better left unsaid and left for customers to experience for themselves. I don't know if this WC still does their windows or not, but I wouldn't want it anyway if he didn't because she could never remember to unlock the back gate, even when texted the previous night.
