do you leave your hose reel in the van?

do you leave you hose reel in the van over night  ???

i know if its going to frezze over night  i would be better off bringing it indoors

the reason i ask is some one tried to get in my van last week when the hose reel and my kit was left in there over night i have fitted a hasp lock to the rear doors a mesh bulkhead and i have got an alarm being fitted first thing wednesday, that should stop the sods  ;D ;D

yep, leave it all in. haven't even put heater in yet tho.....will see if it all works today! frosts have only just got to us here.....

Hasn't dropped below 6 here yet

Won't be long till I take ever thing out except the tank....

I've mentioned this before, but with tracing the van pipework (as long as you can access it and it doesn't disappear under the floor), the heat gets to where it's needed, and all you are left to do then is remove the reel and poles.  This is much cheaper than leaving a heater in the van overnight heating the bulk of the air in the van for it only to vanish through the ceiling.

I have fixed reels in my van, but when the really cold weather comes, I shut tank valve off and pump excess water out of pumps and reels, this stops any damage to pumps, strainers etc.
