Just a couple of quick questions from a newbie.

1. Is flow rate the same thing as psi?

2. What is the best rate for windows and why?

flow rate is how many ltres per minute

psi  is pounds per aquare inch

there is no standard rate for cleaning windows,different factors come into play.
For new cleans turn it up i use around 40 psi.
 on maintenance cleans approximately 25 psi and then it depends how old the pump is,we have two one about 5 years old and that runs at 36 psi on maintenance cleans and a new one which runs on 25 psi this is due to the age difference

Q2.  It depends.  I probably run at 1.5 - 2.5 litres per minute.  Dirty first cleans with lots of rinsing for the higher rate.  Easy maintenance cleans for the lower rate.  However, if your water is unmetered and you have a large enough tank to last you all day, who cares?
Too low a rate will slow you down though if you like to make sure the job's OK by rinsing ell.
