Unfortunately in these circumstances the wholesale distributor of these pumps did charge very steeply testing of non-faulty products, then there is 4 lots of postage (you to us, us to them, them to us and then finally us to you!). If it had been found faulty then they would not have charged anything to us and we would have not charged you anything for postage. We now get these pumps supplied direct from the manufacturer under a new distribution agreement and the manufacturer is much better with their returns and warranty policy and do not have any testing charges which is good for everyone.
It sounds like your pump had some muck jamming it up which probably worked its way out after it been disconnected from your system. Shame it cost so much to find out though
Thanks for the reply bro, and its another example of the good customer service that gardiners have someone on here (the big man himself!) to answer problems/help.
The main bug bear at the time was I didnt realise would have to pay postage if they couldnt find the problem, I was just told that someone would come to collect. Had I realised how it would pan out I could have posted straight to manufacturer, thereby saving 2 lots of postage anyway!
I couldn't see any probs with dirt, I had filters before it, but I knew you werent taking me for a ride. However, you win some, you loose some. Its all good!
