Has anyone got them?

I fail to see the point of spending that sort of money on a carbon fibre extension when it has to attach to a plastic gooseneck.

I have their normal extensions which come in handy every now and again, but they are very whippy because they are screwed on to a plastic gooseneck which when it has 18" of extension on it, isn't strong enough to give it any stability, so these new carbon fibre ones maybe lighter, but with that sort of length on the plastic gooseneck is still going to be whippy

I agree Lee - i use the nylon ones for a couple of jobs but you lose a lot of control.

i think the gardiners 'complete c/f' goosenecks would work better

the plastic crank will always be a weak point using the Tecbuk ones & TBH you could knock one up like that
out of a fishing pole section and spares for under a tenner.

I agree, no point in a cf extension, you really need the whole cf gooseneck like gardiners sell.

Downside with Gardiners gooseneck is you cannot adjust the angle.

Agree with all the above. 
I've got the plastic ones too. Ok for occasional work.

I haven't investigated what plastic is used for the standard angle adapter, but the extended ones we have now are definitely made in a different mould and seem to be a different plastic, very strong and rigid.

The "teeth" on the adjustable part are also slightly different, a little wider.

These only go up to 12" reach though (6", 9" 12").  I can't physically bend the 12" one by hand, but yours is 18" and it would be interesting to know if you think it's "whippy" because the extension is flexing or because there's movement on the crank?
