Hi,

We have an RO system and polish of with a DI unit on the van.  Our pre DI figure from the RO is always about 14, polished up to 000 by the DI Unit.

Last week we noticed that despite the water still going in at 14 the after DI figure was slowly failing to polish to 000.

Went from 000 to 002 then 003, 005.  Resin changed and back to 000.

I read somewhere you can still produce good results with water not polished to 000 but dont know when it becomes unefficient.

Hope this helps a little but others will be better informed on this subject.

Sarah

If you are using an R/O then it would be unlikely to go up that quick my readings seem to stay at 000 for about a month then creep up at about .001 per week I change it at 005.

The water from the R/O comes out at about 022 TDS and I use about 300lts a day.

The DI canister is not that big I get about 4 fills from a 25lt bag.

Without the R/O it’s going to go up far quicker when I first started I just used a Deioniser that would last for about a week. Still did dent go up .015 in a day though!

Hope that’s of some help
Kev

I am DI only. Tap water goes in at 57. When my TDS started to read 001 it lasted for 2 weeks before going up to 006. I only use about 260 ltrs a day though. I have the same size DI vessel as yours.Dai
