the weather in cornwall to day is heavy rain, floods all over the roads,    gardens are soaked,  and there are window cleaners out looking like drowned rats,  just been speak to 2 in the chipy both moaning they havent earnt any money today as custy are turning them away  both are wearing hiviz  jackets and hi viz water proof pants,   the type they wear on the motorways  when working there,   

i dont get how some people this they can work in really bad weather

Rain will not bother a clean window normally as its quite pure,I dont work in the rain cos I dont like working in it.

Dont do residential work in rain, unless its a new job and the windows are that bad they are just happy to see me even if its hammering down

I am in cornwall, it was monsoon all morning.

If they are due on a given day they get done rain or shine. Or not at all.

Having good waterproofs helps.

When customer is picked up you explain rain or shine , if your property is due we will clean it

yes working in heavy rain is very important not only does it strengthen your round but your rent must be paid in the rain, so does your van insurance ,and if you employ how will you pay wages, ?and rain does not effect the cleaning process simple as that,

my advice to anyone in a rain area is drop the customers who sack you on the day of the rain and re canvass new ones explaining to them that the rain does not effect our work.

end of the day if it rains 2-3 times per week imagine how much time off that is all year round? your round wont be worth anything i personally wouldn't pay much for a round that's restricted to the weather its your business you gota set the rules. !

light rain today, im still only wearing a thin shirt/ my workers wearing a woolly pully ! (waterproofs in van but we"r  hard here) and weve found a very good community cafe with heating to sit /stew in at lunchtime

its ok people saying sack the customer if they dont want you to clean in heavy rain,  but if you have say a £60 customer who says that you would be a fool to drop them.

I know it can be frustrating being asked not to clean in the rain but its part and parcel of the job,  some customers dont mind and some do.

today I managed to clean 11 of my 13 jobs booked but just gave up on the last 2 because it got so heavy.

We are fairly lucky here in Bristol, it dosnt rain that much, infact we have only missed 1 weeks work in well over a year due to weather,and that was coz the hoses froze last Jan

I think the TDS  would change with different rain tho.
