Trading Patterns around new year?
« on: December 12, 2005, 06:42:27 pm »
Hi all,

Being a newbie to the trade of domestic cleaning, I have never traded around this time of year, therefore I need some advice etc....

What is trade like for new customers in the early part of the new year. Having been in the retail trade for most of my working life, it goes dead, is this the same for the cleaning industry.

I am trying to plan a few month ahead for staffing arrangements etc..

You comments would be gladly recieved

Love

Hi Denise
I have been doing domestics for approx 3yrs now and have found that its  very quiet for us in January as a lot of my clients tend to go away for a couple of months to avoid the cold weather, my cleaners know this and we use some of the spare time to leaflet, others have saved some of their holiday allowance up to take  time off at this time, I dont want to put any cleaners off, because  I have lost them in the past, also  its the time I also have a holiday,
its only a few weeks and we do pick up 1 off cleans during this time which we can always fit in,

Best of Luck
