The lowestoft floods, a made a few pounds here. Having travelled around the UK clearing floods, I had a major disaster on my door step, well 30 miles away. Now they wish to stop me earning, well maybe not. The flood water will still afffect the property and it still needs drying, but less water should enter and less goods damage, which suits our industry as we do not replace goods, just clear up and dry. A good move shame it taken so long to sort these properties out.
I was told Lowestoft could solve it flood probelm by runnning flood water into the sea, but it would lose its blue flag beach, so not good for tourism. So the council has choosen to let those unfortunate properties get flooded time and time again, and keep the flag.
