I've got a white extreme that I can't get on with. Everyone's different I suppose.

I think there great. Used two today, one on a clx and one on a smax. I like the angle on the bristles. I find there good for flicking bits out from under vents and tops of frames. Nothing bad to say really

I used a Gardiner sill brush today for the first time - on the end of a CLX-27.  I like it.  Sill brushes generally seem preferable as you don't need to change the angle of the adaptor nearly as much.

Most sills can be washed with a normal brush , ... the actions are the same... and you still cant see the upstairs sill... so how can you know if they do a better job?

You don't.  I think the point is that you can brush over the sill more easily - i.e. often without needing to alter the pole angle.  This can be particularly helpful if in a tight situation where you are right underneath the window.

are the bristles not crap on the soft sill brushes though?

i prefer the SL DT FLOCKED for most of my work.the bristles are excellent and they are chunky and light enough to clean the sills and windows with ease.mine is 8 months old and its not lost its shape or many bristles.very hard wearing.

someone put a soft sill brush pic up the other month after a days use and it looked battered!!its put me off quite frankly.
price higher/work harder!

also when working at height ie 4 storys and tight angles its esier to wipe the sills down with

i have a medium double trim sill brush on the end of a slx 22 , best brush i have used, as already said don,t need to change angle on brush that often , does a really good job on glass, frames and sills, can't fault it so far.
