well , just the one .

was cleaning a house all happy , knocked on the door. no answer

 2 minutes later went back to van and staring at me are:
 5 policemen
1 dog
 all gagging to go and take me on  ..

they probaly missed the van with the BIG window cleaner writen on the side .


as it so happens , 2 teenagers at home thought i was trying to break in with my big pole and called the police, alarm company and of course daddy on way home  .

Are you sure this is true? Show us ya tongue !! They wouldn't move like that round here even if you got in a door.
 The operator would ask some pretty tough questions before hand, like..what makes you think they are breaking in, oh right, they have a long yellow hose and a brush spouting out water.
 Unless some of these alarm activations are getting police out with no questions asked other than the fact a alarm has gone off. Maybe like an alarm systems as recommended by ACPO, which will probably be owned by an ex copper. I'd love to know what area this was and what alarm company it was.

Similar happened to me once.... two coppers come round the back asking what i was doing. Told them im cleaning the windows and got ask well where are your ladders then. Gave them a quick demo, gave them my driving licence and customers phone number.

They checked me out on their system and rang the customer who told them to leave me alone as she didnt want to loose me and that she would trust me  clean the inside of the house whilst she was out (which i did a few times)

Even cleaned one of the coppers fascias, windows & conny roof after he asked for a card

Round here 5 coppers only turn up if your tax disc is 2 days out of date. You must have been dreaming mate 

Best one I had was a new custy for wheelie bin cleaning. Went round the back of the house and got the bin then took it to the van for a (much needed) clean.

As I was finishing a friend who I hadn't seen for ages drove up. So stood there having a good old chat.

All of a sudden Council van appears with orange flashing light investigating report of a stolen wheelie bin. Turns out Grandma was babysitting the kids and had phoned the Council the minute I stole it  Fortunately the Council weeble saw the funny side and shuffled off to the jacket potato waggon for his lunch before driving back to the office for a hard afternoon's internet shopping.
