I know yell may not be as good as in the past. But I receive a great response from both book & yell.com

I suppose it depends what areas but the book is brilliant for me & without it I would be alot less busy

Let me ask you this:
You need to find a tradesman, for aguement sake lets say locksmith
Do you search a book or on the internet.
If internet what do you put into the search box? Do you put locksmith in (town) or do you put yell? If going down the yell route then you will have to put into their search facility....locksmith (town).

People are lazy they will go for the quickest solution to their question, hence why your chosen internet provider supplies a search facility.

I spend around £800 per year with yell & I am extremely pleased with the return I get.

People have different views but not everyone knows how to use the Internet but they no how to use the yellow pages.

i,ve had a number 1 slot (sponsored listing) with yell for 2 years and whilst it does return an amount of enquiries i've cancelled it this year. they tried to put the price up 20% and i think my money is better spent elsewhere.

yep thats why I left them !!
Every year different rep (all with different ideas ) every year price increases...
we are finding it far cheaper using a marketing company and improving our seo for google we now have a set marketing plan as oposed to usual yell aproach ... have noticed our yell book is tiny this year wonder why  ;D ;D
