0800 or geographical bought numbers outside your area ( ghost numbers)

We have std landline, 0800 and a local call rate no.

Its the LOCAL call rate one that gets the most new enquiries.

We use 0845 as when we had an 0800 number we did used to get a lot of stupid calls but the disadvantage of an 08 number is that it is expensive to call from a mobile so a lot of people will avoid a call. we always advertise a mobile number along side the 0845. Local numbers are definately the best but as we work across a lot of std s  have gone away from. Are at present looking into the vodaphone deal that give you 5 local numbers directed to a mobile for £55 per month. This is good value if you can make benefit of all 5 numbers. It is a matter of evaluating what is going to be the most effective solution for you.
