Amtech's Fineline microsplitter
« on: September 07, 2011, 06:39:01 pm »
Today i had some upholstery to clean in a vauxhall vivaro van, the van had been well used and the seats were pretty dirty.
The other day i acquired some of Amtechs fineline microsplitter, now this is the first time i have ever used a MS so i thought lets really put it to the test...

I diluted 16:1 in a hand pump sprayer and once i had dry vacuum'd the seats i then sprayed them lightly and brushed them with a nail brush, i then left the MS to dwell for about 10 mins while i cleaned the headlining using the MS and a white terry towel.

10 mins past and it was time to rinse the seats, i used my trusty numatic george using only cold water. The results were to say the least impressive, considering im using a very simple extraction machine and cold water the seats really did come up well! and when i emptied the recovery tank there was virtually no foam at all!
I will have to try the fineline on a carpet to give it the full thumbs up but so far i have to say its looking good
