sounds as if you got good money for that job, id just let it go.  if by chance she uses you again, you now want  cash up front  .   if i sense grief in somebodys email i always want cash up front

What would I have done?

Not done a £110 job without being paid immediately at the end of it.

If I had mistakenly done a £110 job without being paid at the end of it?

Kept my gob shut, done the silly stuff for her and get paid at the end of that.

Then never deal with her again.

But I'm always clever on this forum! Look at my "Doh! Underpriced Conny Roof" thread.  ;D
It's a game of three halves!

haha lesson learnt now chaps.  Basically i made it clear to here it was the decorators job to clear off their marks, but because we were never at the house at the same time, she was saying some of their mess was my mess so to speak.  Well, live and learn i guess

If it was me I would of inspected all of my work afterwards, if your trad then it's easy to leave a smear no matter how long you have been cleaning windows and how good you are, sunlight can show up stuff you wouldn't normally see. Then after inspection I'd let her know all was done and inspected, if she came back an said she had found some smears then I would of asked to of inspected them with her there. If they were mine then I'd hold my hands up and apologise and correct the fault, if it was due to someone else then I would point that out to her but also fix it free of charge, that way she is happy and so am I and she will also give me more work in the future as no matter what you say or think, you got paid well for the job. Simples :D

I also may've posted her e-mail address in various places on the interweb so she'd get a lot of spam from Nigerians.

But that's about it really; I try not to be too vindictive these days. ;D
