landline

hi all i have a land line number that is redirected to my mobile.in the last few months i noticed my bill went up quite a bit.i'm with virgin and pay £2.05 for the redirection and also the cost of the redirected phone calls which in the last few month have been in the region of £30.does any one use other phone company or services cheaper than that?

You can set up a landline with skype. Its an online number but your customers wont realise as it looks like a normal telephone number. You can set up voicemail on it and have it forwarded to your mobile.

It was the cheapest way I found compared to BT. I havent set up the call forwarding yet but from memory is wasnt too expensive

I have a geographic (01252) number with www.sipgate.co.uk which diverts straight to my mobile. Works really well, and is a cheap way of doing it!
