Vauxhall combo crew van
« on: July 30, 2011, 10:25:26 pm »
I have seen these vans and wondered if you could fit a 400 lt tank in the back ?

They have five seats which is ideal for the family, but I wondered if  there would be enough space for the tank right at the back of the van ?

Any ideas ?     Thanks.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2007-07-Vauxhall-Combo-Crew-Van-2000-CDTi-/370523667170?pt=UK_Commercial_Trucks&hash=item5644ee7ae2

Could a custom made tank fit into the area at the back of the van with the rear seats up ?

No chance if you intend to have five people in it. I have a 2000kg combo with a 350 litre tank and would not advice any bigger than that, and thats with two people max not 4 or 5

Where would you put poles or anything else.
Behind the back seats you might get  3 shopping bags if your lucky. :D

I think pick up truck is the only real soulution for work and family vechicle.

I like toyota hilux and nissan version (can't remeber name)

there alot of money (i think :-\)

mpg isn't very good either :(

or you could have medium car with trailer on for work and off for family (cheaper option) some guys on here do this.

Theres loads of room left in mine, i have my steps, collapasable ladders, buckets etc all in front of my tank and there still space. Ive fitted gutters to the roof for poles and theyre all away tidy. It really isnt that small! I believe the crew vans are slightly longer, maybe im wrong tho.

Not sure about a custom tank, suppose it would have to be measured and depends how high it would sit.
