Direct Debits
« on: July 18, 2011, 02:21:03 pm »
Anyone collect with direct debits?

I filled in a few online forms and my phone has never stopped since, which makes me think that these people may be sharks.

Before I get in shark infested waters I'd like any advice from anyone with experience.

Here are some of the companies:

http://www.eazipay.co.uk/

http://www.eagleconsulting.co.uk/

Cheers.

Not yet. It is something I have looked into though as I can see the advantages, would be interested to hear if anyone uses it as a collection method already though.

Just because people want your business doesn't mean they're sharks.

Spoke to my bank manager (not that they should be trusted either) and he seemed to agree, although he never came out and said it.

Not really sure on how I should move forward on this. It's the kind of thing you want to get right from the beginning.

Pencils, looked at fans and may use them yet (if we get a water meter).

Me too, but beware, that leaves your payments in the banks control and if they decide to stop putting references through then you are screwed. I had 500 payments per month coming into my account all with unique ref numbers then one day the refs vanished. Not good.

if you have the surname on your system then it will locate it. Can't see how the refs details would just vanish though
