I got a call earlier today about gutter cleaning, so I said I'd pop over at the end of the day and tell him what it would be.

4 bedder place with guttering to the front and rear elevation. I told him £95.00 for inside and outs including fascias.

His response was...........

I said its a dirty, dangerous job, we're professional, insured and guarantee all the work we do and no I don't negotiate and I dont accept the same level of payment as someone who works on a till

I would have said no,its definately not a full days work because if it was it would have been £280

£95 is a fair price but as tosh said someone may have done it previous for £20 .
Tell them to phone a roofer to do the job £95 will then seem like peanuts to what they charge .
