mixing vac motors
« on: July 01, 2011, 03:56:53 pm »
Afternoon,

Would there be any problem with operating with a mytee vac and a lamd ametek vac in the speedster?

Intstead of the 2x mytee 5.7 i'm now running 1 mytee & 1 lamb which are both 3 stage.

After fitting the lamb 5.7 i'm sure it's slightly less powerful than the 2x mytee motor setup it. Maybe the mytee motors are better in performance.

where can you buy a gauge to measure airflow and suction power of the motors?

Vacuum gauges are easily obtained.
Flowmeters of sufficient capacity are a different matter.
I have been promising myself to make one- I have the bits but never got round to it.
God must love stupid people---He made so many.
