Help with my PF van mount please
« on: July 03, 2011, 02:41:33 pm »
Had my Pure Freedom van mount for 3 months now and thought is was about time to change the pre filters.

Ive undone the clamps, but cant pull the blue housing off. Does it twist? is it something the do with the red button on top?

Simpleton question I know, but I need to fill up for tomorrow and the TDS is rising a bit sharpish.

Changing the filters might not make any difference, have you flushed the ro?

On the 4040 ro you open the waste tap fully and it flushes the surface of the ro to clean it. It prolongs the life of the membrane.

I have mine set to get the optimum tds, you will need to experiment, unless you are on a meter then you would be better to get the best pure to waste ration you can

Thanks lee

I flush every time just before re filling, but its now getting to 10/15 and the tds is not getting below 50 pre resin. Still getting 2ppm, but the resin is doing all the work at the month and it'll only be a matter of time before that needs changing

Thanks mate

the red button is air , if you press it it lets any air locks out. to get the cylinder off turn it anti clock wise, make sure you get the old rubber O ring out , somtimes they stay stuck in side.
