Problem with Sebo Duo
« on: July 06, 2011, 05:35:18 pm »
My sebo duo keeps cutting out these days.  When I take it apart, it appears one of the belts is loose.

Has anyone had any experience of this and, if so, is it just a case of sourcing a new belt and replacing?

Who sells them anyway?

Like Mark says, could well be a cable break, it is quite common, usually at around the point where the cable goes into the top of the handle.
However, if one of the belts is loose, you could have a loose bearing, often caused by the screws that hold the bearings in place not gripping properly in the body of the chassis. Check all the screws along the line (7 or 9 if I remember correctly). Unfortunately, if the fixing in the chassis is damaged, your "screwed" so to speak.
If there isn't enough time to do the job right,  how do we find the time to go back and do it again when the customer is not happy ?   Do it right the 1st Time.

Check the two spade connectors where it push fits together at the bottom.
