It is really worth stopping the van, getting equipment out, cleaning the windows and writing out an invoice for £5  ???

what's wrong with £5 for 5 minutes- nothing if it's trad!! use a receipt book pick up £5 and away, even at only 4 per hour it allows for a wage. never turn down the £5s' and the fact that it's commercial shouldn't alter the price structure.

£5 would be ok if you had other shops to do close by... I just don't think it's worth it if its on its own!

I doubt you'd get more than £5 for it to be honest. Whether it's worth your while doing it is an entirely different story, if there are shops nearby that are likely to ask you to clean theirs then perhaps it is, if its just one in the middle of nowhere its probably not worth doing, that said as you say you drive past it anyway you might as well stop and do it, I've picked up at least £200 a months worth of work in the past from a single £5 job

Well my prices for shops start higher than yours and they are weekly cleans.

Thinking you should of charge from £8.00 upwards for what you have discribed and double for internal cleans.... ;D ;D

and that is why shops end going national, when being charged £8 for two plates and a door and a small window above, but if you can get it fair enough, mine are mostly twice per week

If you lived in Plymouth you wouldn't get much work mate; a fiver would be about right down here, and some would want to be paying even less than that ::)

Do it for the fiver you quoted and ask them if you can advertise in the shop Window or counter leaflet /business card - also people will see you cleaning when going in the shop or passing by etc so could lead to a lot more work  :)
