It always said how good the Gardiner poles are, but now I've got my hands on one of the carbon goosenecks I find myself amazed at how they never seem to be mentioned on here. Its a brilliant bit of kit!

I never liked goosenecks before, I always put them on for specific jobs & removed them straight away afterwards because of the extra weight & the way they make the pole feel unbalanced,.. but this is a different beast altogether. The pole is actually lighter (by 85g) with the gooseneck on as opposed to the angle adapter & brush socket & it feels properly balanced.
I'm getting the top clamp kit for my CLX soon & fitting on permanently to that pole too.

I just thought it was a great bit of kit that had been overlooked for too long!

Yes they are good but don't do what I did and knock your pole to the ground with it fitted, an expensive mistake at £54 inc vat.

We got one for developing our Carbon Gooseneck Adapter as we'd had quite a few enquiries from people wanting to use them with their Aqua-dapter.  Amazingly light and strong.

i do like the idea of having  one , but i have an elite pole and the dimensions are different shame i cant get some form of adapter

I used to swivel all the time as changing to a gooseneck would take ages. Now I'm using the gooseneck on all commercial and some domestic, it's so nice and well balanced.

The combo of extreme brush, carbon gooseneck and extreme pole make for the fastest window cleaning wfp.

I have one, only use it when i have to. Not a bad bit of kit, its light and well made, looks proffesional.
Does what it says on the tin and better than the fixed aluminium goosenecks in my opinion

hunting around last night i think the elite pole is fitted with the plastic Type 1  pole end hose through  but in does not give the dimensions ,   if its the same diameter as they aluminium  Type 1 it will work ,  thanks again Nat totally forgot about that kit fingers crossed

I just measure the Elite-18 I have & I reckon that adapter should fit,..

thanks again Nat  not doubting your measuring , but my mate has a  measuring device which gives out a digital reading will check it out later today and possibly speak to gardiners about fittings before ordering and chopping my pole  .     regards mike

You do if you want to fit one to the 'old' style SL.

One downside is that you cannot adjust the angle of the brush which sometimes is necessary for conservatory roof, rooflight solar panels etc.

The shaft on the Aluminium Pole End Screw Type1 from Gardiners, and the Carbon Gooseneck are a fraction over 19mm if that helps.

Hi prowindow,

we are in the process of having our carbon gooseneck made along with a clamp for the end section to make the gooseneck quick release. This will hopefully all be ready in about 4 weeks time. I will keep you informed on the progress.

thanks adam think i will wait to have a look at your gooseneck , as i am not in any great need for one yet i just think a gooseneck helps protect top section of pole on windows with deep stone sills as becomes scratched a bit in certain situations
