Nathanael, they are mapped m8. If you see a red pin next to a listing it means they are mapped (red pin = mapped)

But doesn't every business that wants to maximise their web presence get mapped? I see what you mean, but they're still on page 1 because they've taken the right steps, even with a .com domain.

No you have to manually add yourself to the maps or have a SEO provider add you (its something provided by SEO as standard). (sorry I am not clear that’s what you were asking though)

Your domain name doesn’t make a blind bit of difference to this one aspect. Remember though other search engines, yahoo, bing, aol don’t use google maps.. You could argue that adwords are even better than these as they come up above, (but you have to pay 25p per click which soon adds up)

organic results (espically as you dont pay per click) shouldnt be overlooked as part of a comprehensive web business solution and you need to take EVERY advantage you can. Something else to bear in mind is that not all critical searh terms have a mapping system.

For example, a site I built a couple of weeks ago www.mkspraytans.co.uk she supplied the seach terms she wanted to target including "eyelash technician in milton keynes". run that on google and you will see no mapped results but I have nabbed her SEVERAL of the top spots because I am running some serious SEO on her site.

Take my advise or leave it, 5.98 for a .co.uk every two years to help (it wont be the only answer) is a good investment, knoledge is indeed wealth my friend ;)

Marcus.
I'm thinking of getting some SEO work done on my wife's website www.meadowsorganic.com

What could you do for me & what would it cost?

If you prefer you could e-mail me shop@meadowsorganic.com

Hi Nathanael,

I normally charge standalone SEO at £14.99 a month (national targeting level). I previously worked for a SEO company that charged at least £300 per year and can deliver the same results as I know all the tricks.

The first 3 months are always free while I obtain the results. If after the first 3 months you are not happy with the SEO results I remove the SEO from the site and stop running things my end. No charge, it’s critical to my business that you are 100% happy with the service before I accept a penny, that way my clients can rely on me long term and I can rely on them.

All I would ask is if after the 3 month free trail you are happy with the service but want to cancel anytime later, please give me a months notice to wind down the service! No contract, the results are the contract, as long as you get improved results you wouldnt want to go elswhere and if you arent happy I would tottaly understand :)

I would also need you to follow all my advise as there are a few things you can do which will help no end. Put it this way, the clients that take all my advise are at the top of the search engines, some that think they know better simply don’t get the results.

Let me know if your still interested m8, feel free to e-mail me at anytime! :)

My issue with that site is there isn't really any regional targeting. She's selling internationally, so there's a huge amount of keyword competition!

Is your SEO mainly onsite (changing the webisite code itself) or offsite (links back to the site)??

I think for £8.99 a month it'd be hard to go wrong though,.. where do I sign up
