I had something similar happen with my taxi three people ran into the back in five months. The insurance company rejected one claim saying they had already dealt with it and accusing ME of operating an insurance scam. Hours on the phone trying to sort it all out.

Then finally the insurance company loaded my policy for having three totally no blame accidents, despite having protected no claims. I was lucky all three had insurance and admitted liability which these days is nothing short of a miracle.

Its one of the 99 reasons I am a window cleaner now and not a taxi driver. Another claim and I wouldn't get insurance despite it not being my fault in any way.

I just couldn't live like that with a family to feed and bills to pay. Even now its murder trying to insure my wife' s car with me as a named driver when they ask has any driver had any claims in the past five years? And its the same on my van, that was loaded because of my accident record.

I am still paying for it £££ every year. Between my wife's insurance and my van it has cost us a lot of money. But next year the five years will be up and I am really looking forward to saying no.

almost 4 wks ago now i was driving along a fast road on the way home gypsy's coming towards me with the scrap collecting motor fridge freezer falls off the side hits the front near side of my  grand vitara , i neeed a new wing , inner wing needed repairing new bumper headlight and fog light ,  they kept on driving and have not been found as all happened so fast i did'nt get their reg ,

Despite their been 3 cars behind them and the police putting an appeal for witnesses in paper no one came forward with any info was totally gutted ,  about motor but just as gutted the car behind them did'nt take there and report it to the police ,

and rac insurance which now acts a broker and aviva insurance are a fu##ing joke took them 5 days to sort out a courtesy car , i had to hire a van and they suppliped me with a five door chevrolet aveco , despite having a 5 door grand vitara which i use for work , and have down as business use , you only get a class a courtesy car unless you pay extra each year to get like for like motor ,   hope it all gets sorted out quickly mate

Yeh, that's annoying when they take accidents into consideration when they weren't even your fault.  I was asked about the one where a lady ran up the back of my car; which was purely down to her going too fast and too close.

Still, I'm claiming on this one; maybe.  I'll see.

insurance company will own it once you accept, but you can usually buy it back off them for a discounted rate and usually worth buying back
Only those who risk going too far will truly know how far they can actually go

Well that would be good, since a few weeks ago I got a new door put on for £60.  Actually the door wasn't new, but it was fine and you couldn't tell the difference.

If its not your fault you can insist that the other party's insurance repair it. They will try it on but you have the law on your side.
