Well I couldn't wait for the next high job so I gave my new pole a run out today on domestics. Incredibly, a 48ft pole is almost light enough for all day work. Just a bit too bulky for ground floor really - but not by much. I could see it being awkward in tighter spaces. OK there was too much spare pole hose at those low heights (leading to tangles) but I just wanted to get the feel of it - especially the concept of only the base section tightening incrementally. The brush seemed weird at first too but I was starting to feel more OK with it by lunchtime.
I just cannot believe how light this pole is.
I won't be using it as a regular pole. Just for the high jobs. I should get at least ten years out of it like that. Like others have mentioned, I kept finding myself trying to loosen the gooseneck instead of loosening the no 1 clamp

.
Looks like Alex has done it again.
Can anyone tell me this though? On the shorter (than 48ft) Extreme poles, is the fattest section always able to be tightened incrementally?
